Environment

Responsibility in environmental stewardship is key to uRecycle®’s business. Therefore we have determine three key environmental benefits of recycling waste batteries.

Firstly recycling batteries reduces the amount of toxic heavy metals such as mercury, lead and cadmium entering landfills and polluting our environment.

Secondly, recycling enables recovery of the valuable metals contained in batteries such as lithium, nickel, cobalt and silver.

Thirdly, producing new batteries from these recycled materials is more energy efficient.
