On the 11th and the 12th of September 2019 the uRecycle team will attend the annual RWM Exhibition and Conference in Birmingham. RWM is the largest UK event for the recycling and waste management industry with around 12 000 professionals present from around the globe. The conference is comprised of a variety of seminars given by experts from leading companies in the field.
Jeff Borrman, Managing Director of uRecyle Ltd, who has worked in the recycling industry for 33 years, is one of the speakers at this event. In his presentation on Wednesday the 11th from 12:30 – 13:00 held in the Innovation Theatre he will address uRecycle’s methods for the recycling of portable and automotive lithium batteries including basic recycling methods, compliance, collection and recovery as well as the challenges facing the industry and the economy of scale. He will also discuss the company’s plans to expand into the UK in the coming new year by establishing a UK-based battery processing facility.
uRecycle is a leading Scandinavian battery recycler with over ten years of experience in all battery chemistries including EV and hybrid lithium industrial and portable batteries. After four years of a joint venture in the UK, uRecycle is setting up their own UK battery processing facility in the midlands. This facility aims to shred and process portable alkaline batteries and more importantly to recover industrial EV and hybrid lithium batteries from the vehicle industry entirely by means of UK-based treatment solutions in collecting, sorting, processing and semi refining. uRecycle will also utilize their tailor-made uTrack web portal for secure traceability for all types of batteries from collection, recycling and reporting.
